This piece has a bit of movement and whimsy with the sea star charm dangle.
I hand-cut a large heart out of copper sheet metal. Then I created the waves by using several ocean color enamels – blues, white, greens, and turquoise. The heart is blue with teal ‘lines’ of waves and swirls.
The starfish charm was created with my propane-oxygen torch and was fully kiln annealed prior to becoming part of this piece.

Please note: this heart is securely fastened to the wood by the brass nails (no glue). The driftwood and the heart are not perfectly flat, so there are some gentle curves to the piece. Please see the last photo for a side view.
