Oh, magic waves of purple! These wave beads are many layers of glass for lots of depth and shine.
The silver-heavy glass that I used to create the color for these waves creates so many colors — from peach to deepest purple — that I can’t stop looking at them. Added bonus: There is a beautiful hazy purple floating in and around the waves.
I started by creating a base of ivory glass on a large mandrel. Then added the silver glass. At this point, I adjusted my flame to bring out the colors ? then I encased (captured!) that color in several layers of clear for a nice water-y depth. Scroll to see a video of these beads in ‘action’!
These beads have a large hole – 4mm (1/8″) – and look great worn together or a few at a time on a simple chain or cord. They are large, chunky beads that are great as single focal pieces or in groups.
Need a chain?
These chains fit these beads. The beads may be strung directly on the chain and worn as a group or separately.
