A mini garden in glass! This little ‘pocket vase’ is a lovely accent in the window, on a wall, or even on your fridge. This vase was constructed with two sheets of glass — clear for the back and a deep iridescent blue for the front. The clear back allows for maximal light transmission.
If this vase is against a wall or other opaque surface (not a window or light source), the metallic iridescent really shines. Additionally, the round dots on this piece also change character with the light. They are translucent in light — a beautiful milky opalescent. When viewed against a dark background, they are moon-white. So many looks, one vase! I hand-wired the rings and loop hanger out of heavy gauge copper.
This piece is fully fused, meaning that it is 100% sealed and holds water for live stems. I have had stems in mine 3-4 days before needed to add additional water. These vases are great for dried flowers or air plants. Or… fill this vase with essential oils and diffuser reeds.
