December 31, 2020
I hope that this last day of the year finds you and your family safe and healthy.
Did anyone else notice the lack of nostalgic “let’s look at the year in review” stories for 2020? Yeah, me too. So much was different this year. So many losses, big and small. Time dragged on and it sped by. But there were bright spots, too. It is now time to look forward. But first, I have a few quick updates to finish out 2020.
Thank you for being there
Thank you for supporting this small glass business. Even when I was out in my garden or doing my pandemic-bread-baking instead of melting glass. I appreciate each and every one of you!
Thank you, King Arthur Baking for your fool-proof bread recipe! And thanks to Zziggysgal for amazing veggie seeds.
Birds and Trees Project
I started off in 2020 full of big dreams and big ideas. One of them was my Birds and Trees Project. I am forever inspired by birds and trees, and much of my art features them. I thought it would be a great way to ‘give back’ to organizations that protect and support trees and birds. Then the pandemic happened and things fizzled a bit.
Thankfully, customers were here for the holiday season, and we finished on a great note.
I added in to the donations and here are the year-end totals.
- North Coast Land Conservancy $100
- Audubon $50 (with a 3x match)
- Arbor Day Foundation $50
- Cornell Lab of Ornithology $100 (with a 2x match)
That brings the total, with matches, to $500 for birds and trees!
