What I have been working on
Summer 2009 has been a busy one. We spent lots of time at the Oregon Coast, my favorite place on earth. I loved escaping the hot, dry heat for some nice cool mist and fog.
While there, my son (age 11) and I took a class in glass paperweights and had a great time. Here are my paperweights. My son made four too! The one on the left was my first, and despite some major chill marks (ridges), I love the “wave” in the center. This was just for fun. Hard to photograph, too.

I AM going to keep making beads. I have also been torching and getting ready for fall. I plan to list a few new beads (after a looong drought) on Etsy later today or tomorrow. Here is a sneak peek.

I purchased some awesome fused glass pieces this summer at the Astoria Sunday Market. What a fun market! Earlier this summer, a great friend of mine gave me a bunch of glass sheets… hmmm … fusing is in the future, I think.
